Pregnancy Week 3

By Gemma Rigby

Welcome to the earliest stages of pregnancy!

Around this time, the sperm and egg met and created a tiny ball of cells called a blastocyst.  If you have already seen that faint positive on a test then this microscopic wonder has made its way to your uterus, implanted, and started growing into your baby!

Your body is already hard at work producing hormones like hCG, which is why that faint positive line popped up. You might also start to notice signs like tender breasts or mild cramping.

This is a good time to prioritize self-care—eat nourishing foods, hydrate, and if you haven’t already, consider starting a prenatal vitamin with folic acid.

Whether you’re just curious or already celebrating, Week 3 is all about the quiet beginnings of an amazing journey. You’ve got this!
