At 23 weeks, your baby is about the size of a mango.
They will grow to the size of a cantaloupe by the end of week 24.
Your baby’s bones have developed enough functional bone marrow inside of them that the bone marrow will start taking over red blood cell production - previously this was coming mostly from the liver and spleen.
The brain is continuing to develop quickly, with neural connections and pathways growing and multiplying. This allows your baby to have more complex brain functions.
